Volunteering

Help us maintain our vegetable garden, or share your other talents to help us grow!  As SEE works to expand, we’re in need of volunteers for everything from chicken care to administrative support.

No matter what color your thumb is, if you’re a great team player and have some skills and passion related to our work, we’d love to meet you!

How to Sign Up (March-September)

Step 1: Fill out our Volunteer Intake Form, we’ll email you when we receive it!
Step 2: Read and agree to our Volunteer Handbook policies, and fill out a waiver.
Step 3: Once you confirm you’ve read the handbook, we will send you the shift sign up calendar.
Step 4: You sign up for shifts (at least 24 hours in advance) and get started!

Please come to your first shift at least 15 minutes early so we can show you around the garden and give you a brief orientation.

Garden Volunteering

We need volunteers from March-September to help maintain our garden! Volunteer shifts are 1-2 hours long, and can involve planting, weeding, watering, labeling, compost turning, mulching, amending, pruning, or structure building, among other things.

Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

No experience? No problem! Our garden manager will be available during volunteer shifts to show you the ropes.

Volunteer Waiver – Required for All Volunteers

Other Volunteer Opportunities

If you love what we’re doing and want to help us grow, consider volunteering outside of the garden, too!

We’re looking for volunteers to help with:

  • Farmers Markets
  • Social media & marketing
  • Administrative support
  • Kids’ programming
  • Event planning & fundraising
  • Education & outreach
